FAQ
Where does EQL data come from?
All data is extracted from primary sources — issuer-published earnings reports, transcripts, presentations, SEC/regulator filings, and IR materials. Every datapoint is linked to its source page.
How is data normalized across companies?
We map company-reported metrics onto our internal canonical schema. Custom segments are preserved alongside normalized labels so you can query both.
What's the update latency?
Earnings reports and transcripts are typically processed within 4 minutes of public release.
Do you support point-in-time data?
Yes — every datapoint carries publish_date and as_reported flags so you can reconstruct what was known at any moment.
What's the difference between API and MCP?
The REST API is for programmatic backend integration. MCP is a server you connect to AI agents (Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor) so they can query EQL in natural language.
